Maintence is going!

So I am not really an every day blogger anymore since I have hit the lifelong maintenance stage, things just aren't as exciting as reporting that I lost a pound like everyday when I was in P2! But things are still good none the less!!

I am really impressed with my body and the power of HCG resetting things. Yes I am in the maintance phase so technically I can eat whatever I want but I still have to weigh in daily and make sure that I am staying on track. There are days where I eat horribly and I know it, sometimes the scale shows it and I am up but two days later as long as I eat more P3 style- no added sugar or starch, then I am right back down to where I want to be! I need to start adding back in exercise, I have been so busy with work that I haven't really had the motivation, plus seeing that my weight will stay almost exactly where I want it to without it doesn't help to much either.

P4D4

So I didn't have a bite a funnel cake... but I did have almost a whole elephant ear. :- p

I ate really good P3 cottage cheese with homemade whip cream (Stevia) and strawberries for breakfast. Lunch was snacks on the go string cheese, package of 100 calorie cocoa roast almonds, and then some True North blueberry almond pecan cluster- really yummy if you haven't tried them. After the fair I stopped by a friends house to visit and when he heard I hadn't really eaten dinner he insisted that I eat his left over broccoli rice casserole and a chicken thigh.

I was sure I was going to be back up today but nope down -1.4! Heading back into the 158's hopefully by tomorrow if I eat pretty well today! I think alot can be said about the theory of set points, I feel like my body has definitely reset to be around 157-158 and always finds its way back there if I give it a little help!

Offically P4

So I decided to move into P4 on Friday. Just like in P3 the idea is to add grains and sugars back in slowly.... yeah add me to the weekend fatty club! I way over did it this weekend! You name it I ate it! I have had no desire to cook for myself this week, and I know how to make good choices when eating out but once I start cheating I feel like I might as well get it all out of the way before deciding to be good again.

My LDW is 160.2 but I have spent my whole month of P3 between 157 and 158. I call 160 the danger zone because it is were I do not want to be! I am 161.2 today, I know being 1 pound over LDW isn't bad but I want out of the 160's stat! I am thinking about doing an egg day, but it would have to wait till tomorrow because we are going to the fair tonight and a bite, just one I swear, of funnel cake might end up in my mouth!

I'm Back!

I am happy to report that after 2 weeks of vacation I am down 0.8 from the day I left! My first week of vacation was spent with my best friend who is also on P3 so we were pretty good together, very minimal to no cheating, unless you count the three bottles of white whine that magically disappeared after dinner one night! I weighed the one night at my friends house who has a Tanita scale- so I feel it could be trusted and I was up a little but still well below LDW. Some serious cheating happened at the very end of my vacation at Nana's house- its always the grandmas that have to spoil us! I continued little cheats for the first couple of days back like ordering sandwiches on whole grain bread  at work and happily did not see much of a change. This was mainly due to the fact that I didn't get home until 12:30am and then had to be at work at 8am, so grocery shopping didn't happen until Monday. I only got up to my "danger zone" LDW once and after 2 days of good P3 eating immediately got the 3 pounds off!

I am on day 32 of R2P3, is a month normally how long I should do P3 for? My last P3 only lasted for 3 weeks because I cycled back into P2. I feel pretty stable, I have been testing the water with some whole grains and notice I definitely gain when to much sugar is involved.  I think I am going to stay mainly P3 with the occasional whole grain thrown in since it seems to be ok. I think I will wait 2 more weeks before adding to add to much in. I really this the low carb thing I have stayed right around the same weight for the last month!
