VlCD 10 grr

I started off the day happy because I had a -0.6 loss, but now....Thank goodness this day is finally over! I got to work at 8am and by 9am we had already seen 5 cases. I ate my chicken meatballs with tomato sauce and a navel orange between doing blood work at 1pm. The day just kept exploding, at 3pm when helping my students with a husky the did not restrain it properly and it jumped up and attacked my hand, the student then let the dog go and it got my other hand as well. I have deep puncture wounds on both hands and wasn't able to move my thumb so I had to leave work and go to the hospital.

I left the hospital 3 hours later to go back to work. I didn't take my second set of drops until 7pm (12 hours since my first set). I was stressed and exhausted and all I want was a chocolate milkshake and french fries! But I was strong and didn't give in!! I am worried that a combo of the antibiotics, pain meds, and inflammation is going to affect my weight loss :(

VLCD 8 and 9

Been working like crazy lately and I wont be off till Tuesday... Work is of course tiring, but they have me working crazy hours like 4pm to 5am then back at 4pm to 12:30am and then back again at 8am.  I am taking my drops and weighing at different times but hopefully things will settle down since I go back to all day shifts for the rest of the week.

On Thursday night I realized I left the majority of my dinner at home :( Eating out is already near impossible not to mention when you are limited to only the things that deliver after hours. I ordered a grilled chicken salad with light ranch. I picked all the tiny cheese shreds I could off of the salad and used like 2 tsp of the dressing just because I cant eat plain lettuce. I probably would have been fine with that but I gave into the extra order of small waffle fries that they accidentally added to our order.. they were amazing! Didn't I say no cheating this round.. uhh moment of weakness!
 Friday VLCD8 +0.4 Saturday VLCD9 +0.4 The first one I understand, but two days in a row.. come on! Going to bed in hopes tomorrow the scale will be kind.

VLCD 6, 7, and the skirt!

VLCD 6 brought a loss of -0.6. A smaller loss, but no complaints considering that TOM is in full swing and I felt very bloated and just kinda gross :( Last round I hit a week long stall when TOM checked in so I getting a little nervous.

As girls I think most of us have that one item of clothing that no matter what size it is, you keep it in your closet and don't have the heart to get rid of it because just one day you may be able to wear it again. Well for me that item is my size 6 American eagle skirt:
 
This skirt has been stairing at me for the last 3 years, and last night I wore it out!

Just as exciting as wearing my skirt out was what the scale had to say this morning, VLCD 7 down -1 pound! This is a great surprise because I did not eat the best yesterday! I had lunch out with a friend at an Irish pub- corned beef and cabbage, I tried this before last P2 and it was safe for me. On my first VLCD I had diet coke and rum and still had a pretty good loss, so I tried this again last night.

It was actually kinda funny, the tornado sirens went off while I was at the bar last night, so I ended up drinking more than I planned on because we couldn't leave! I know diet coke is a no no but it seems to work ok for me.. I only drink it when it has alcohol in it though : )

VLCD 5

-3.2 let the happy dance commence!! Saying bye bye to that depressing load weight! I am the same as my first day of P3 last round, which is the lowest weight I have ever hit (163). I am a little surprised because TOM showed up today so I am really hoping the loses continue, last round I had a week long stall!

I have discovered my favorite way to eat spinach- microwaved with some chicken broth, garlic, minced onions, and red pepper flakes- very yummy!

Yesterday I had strawberries for breakfast, 5 chicken meatballs with tomato sauce for lunch, 4 chicken meatballs with cooked spinach for dinner, and then a very large grapefruit for dessert. Yep I ate the whole thing, I have always eaten a whole grapefruit during P2 and I am thinking my body liked it because up to today I had only been having apples and strawberries as my fruit.

Excited to see what tomorrow brings, I have been struggling with more hunger and temptation this round but that 3 pounds reminded me why I do this!!

VLCD4

Hello All!
I was crazy busy last week and didnt have much time to check in so I am trying to get caught up with my own story as well as everyone else!

I kinda ended up doing 2.5 days of loading because I got called in to work an overnight shift on my last night of loading, I didnt have P2 food prepared so I just continued with my left over loading foods. I guess I did really efficient loading because I gained 6 pounds! Uhh part of me was kinda heart broken because I got up to 171, after 3 weeks around 164 I thought I was done with 170 forever! Oh well it will all be corrected and hopefully I will find myself at 150 by the end of this round!

So far: VLCD2 -2 VLCD -1.2 VLCD4 -1.6 This round is really different for me than the first one because school is out so I am going out more, I am also attempting to date this round. Last time I decided not to bother with the stress and was a little hermit-ish (not really sure that is a word... oh well!) But it is fun telling a guy you are seeing that "So this may sound weird but we can't eat together for the next 23 days." This may work out because we didnt have the same taste in food anyways! I am only doing a 23 day round this time so I cant aloud for any cheating but I find myself hungry and craving food much more this time then last round.

I miss my P3 food.... mmmm cheese

Just couldnt stay away

So in an impulsive decision I have decided to start my second round of HCG! I was previously going to hold off because I am going on vacation the last week of June. However, I calculated if I start today I will be in my third week of P3  when I leave for vacation. I stabilized really well even with some cheat eating towards the end so I am pretty confident that this will be a safe decision.

After 3 weeks of P3 I am exactly 1 pound over LDW. Over 3 weeks I only had two days that I was 2 pounds over LDW. One day was due to my attempted correction day, learned my lesson there. I am a little nervous about starting my second round but I only plan on doing 23 days so I can get through it and hopefully be 15 pounds down and looking sexy in my swim suit!

0 on the scale today which is fine considering I had Vietnamese with rice noodles for dinner last night. I started loading today, which is good timing since I am going out tonight. Yummy mixed drinks with no remorse! Loading is fun to eat all the things I have been craving and not aloud to have for the last 7 weeks, but I just feel gross and sluggish. Maybe brownies will remedy this! lol

confuzzled P3D21

So I have been pretty bad lately but have had some interesting results.. After my steak day and 0.8 gain I ate clean P3 for breakfast and lunch but dinner was 2 white Russians and wings in like a Guinness glaze. Wake up to a -0.6 loss.. how can that be? The next day I had an egg white and cheese omelet for breakfast, work was crazy I inhaled my salad around 3:30pm, dinner didn't come until 10:45pm in the form of Denny's buffalo chicken strips covered in delicious ranch. Next day 0 on the scale.

Monday I went off the deep end, grilled cheese sandwich with a couple of potato chips, dinner was a quesadilla with chicken and cheese covered with salsa, sour cream, and guacamole. Then we went to a frozen yogurt places where you can pile on fresh fruit and all sorts of toppings. I had plain all natural frozen yogurt loaded with mango, kiwi, and other yummy fruits. I knew I was going to be in for a correction day but I woke up and -1.8!!!

What does this mean? Today is 3 weeks of P3. Am I stabilized? Does my body like higher fat?

Poutty face

So I fell way off the wagon.. I can not drink and eat responsibly! Yes Cindarella, feel free to kick my ass into shape now! lol I was 2.2 over LDW, only 0.2 over the acceptable limit but enough to make me panic! I decided to try a steak day... I guess I should have remembered that I was sensitive to beef in P2 because the next day I gained 0.8 :( Does any one have a suggestion for a good correction day not involving beef... egg day?

Happy Birthday Steph!

+0.4 Yesterday for breakfast I had my smoothie again.  Lunch was another egg white and mozzarella omelet. Dinner I had Chipotle.. which was so amazing I love their guacamole! I just got the salad with chicken, lettuce, salsa, sour cream, cheese, and guacamole. I am thinking these things may be ok in moderation.. which makes me really happy because it was delicious!

This has been a really crazy week for having plans and eating out, tonight is my friends 21 first birthday so I will be out again but it is the same bar I was at Tuesday so I know the salad is safe and so is rum and diet coke! I really like that I don't crave carbs.. I don't really feel too restricted since I can happily eat a lot of the things I like. The only thing I really want to add when I get to P4 is sushi!!

P3 Day 15

-1 again! Back under LDW by 0.6!! I am kind surprised since I was not a model P3 citizen yesterday. I had Guinness beef stew out at a restaurant where I tried to dodge all the potatoes and carrots in it, but it was also topped with mashed potatoes so as hard as I tried I am sure some ended up in my mouth. My lunch was an egg white omelet with 2 slices of mozzarella and spinach cooked with 1tbs of butter.

I did body pump again.. if any off you have this offered at your gym I highly recommend this! I didnt even feel like passing out at the end this time and my legs still functioned afterwards! Then dinner I had plans to go out with a friend so I ordered  rum and diet coke and had a big cobb salad with turkey, cheese, eggs, and ranch. When I got home I threw in a string cheese. Very happy to know diet coke and rum are safe for me and I dont have to feel guilty every time I want to go out and have a drink.

2 weeks of P3 down!

-1 happy dance!!  I was starting to get really nervous with a couple days of consistent gains. I cant believe it has been 2 weeks of P3 and I am 1 pound over LDW. For breakfast I made a smoothie with frozen strawberries, frozen peaches, cream, coconut milk, flax seeds, and chai seeds. Lunch was chicken meatballs covered in homemade marinara sauce and 2 slices of mozzarella. OMG melty cheese.. so good! I really like ground chicken because it sticks together without any type of binding agent. I was a little nervous but I had one scoop of no sugar added ice cream out with friends, it was vanilla with pomegranate and blackberries. Dinner was a big salad with more chicken meatballs and caeser dressing. Looking back on it I am wondering if the turkey sausage I had been having was helping with the gains?

I was so thrilled Friday night! I went shopping with friends and returned my size 10 capri's for a size 8 at American eagle! Then we went to dinner at Applebees...  I was thinking ok salad it is.. but they had skinny mojitos- my drink of choice, with sugar free syrup! For dinner I got a steak and shrimp with steamed veggies from there 500 calorie menu.. I am sure the steak was marinated in something bad for me since I was up +0.5 the next day but it was so nice to eat pretty much guilt free! I have mostly heard that if the gain is less then a pound it is more fluctuation rather then a sensitivity to something but I am not sure.


So I lived up to my blog name of being a college girl Saturday night! I brought vodka and sprite zero to a friends party but it has been so long since I have really drank, so after one drink in I was drinking whatever my bartender friend started handing me. Including drinks made with cheer wine (a really sweet syrup filled soda). By the end of the night I found myself eating chicken nuggets from McDonalds!  +0.6 the next day. Sunday I did a mostly high protein day: 4 turkey sausage links for breakfast, large latte with sugar free syrup, big salad for lunch with a grilled chicken breast, 3 hard boiled egg whites, and a sugar free black olive feta dressing. I had some black berries at work as well, didn't think about it at the time, but I probably should have skipped those. Dinner was egg whites with spinach and garlic cooked with one tbs butter. This morning weighed in at another +0.4 pounds. Did I do high protein right? I am only 0.6 away from having to do a correction This P3 thing is stressful!

Finals stress

Yesterday I gained +0.4 I added a whole avocado to a salad and also made a Thai coconut curry with Thai kitchen curry paste, coconut milk, cream, chicken, and broccoli. I wasn't really sure if the gain was normal fluctuation or due to something I ate. I was surprised in my self it was pretty good!

I entered finals stress mode and lost some control yesterday.. All p3 eating though! I had lunch with friends at a coffee shop where I had a sun drenched veggie crepe with feta and a vanilla mint tea with creme. It was really good and I wish I would have eaten cleanly the rest of the day so I could know whether this is something i can have again or not. I had string cheese as a snack. I was procrastinating from studying so I made coconut cupcakes with chocolate "frosting."I will definitely need to work on that recipe- the original recipe uses agave so i had a hard time figuring out ho much Stevia that is.  I had about one and a half of the cupcakes.. they were really heavy. I was soo excited to make the coconut cupcakes but I guess I was thinking they would be like and fluffy like real cupcakes.. oh well I guess you have to make some sacrifices for beauty. I also made some cauliflower puree to finish up my thai curry- amazing! I over pureed it so it was more a mashed potato consistency but I was perfectly ok with that.

I had my very last final at 8am and I needed to do very well on it so all nighter it was! I am not a huge soda drinker but I had previously bought some Zevia so I decided to try the Dr. Pepper flavored on to help keep me up. I was ok not a bad substitute but I could be ok without it. All of this plus 1.5 hours of sleep and not enough water got me a +1.4 gain.. +0.8 over LDW. This is the first time I am over LDW and I am not happy about it! I know string cheese and the Zevia have been known to cause gains so I am not sure what the culprit is.. Hopefully a day of mostly clean eating will fix this. Sorry to taunt all you P2's you will get to P3 soon!

Body pump  got its revenge.. you know its a great workout when you can barely walk the next day! -0.4 I was a little worried with the mystery cheese and possible water retention from my work out but I guess all is good. Breakfast was the previous mentioned sirloin with spinach and mystery cheese with roasted brussel sprouts. Pre-work out  snack was 3 links of chicken sausage and coconut milk with my dynamic greens. For dinner I had a large salad of spring mix lettuce, one tomato, a large grilled chicken breast, alfalfa sprouts, and caeser dressing. I forgot how much I love coconut! For dessert I mixed some unsweetened coconut flakes with some cream and wonder-cocoa.. perfection!  Calories were around 1880. Interested to see what the scale will say tomorrow, I added avocado today. The plan is to add all the ingredients back in so I can make a taco salad.. mmm sour cream!

Pump it up!

So I undid Mondays loss pretty quickly with chicken wings and coleslaw for dinner! Got up to my highest calories at 2090. I figured chicken wings were a decent option for a dinner out with friends, probably should have skipped the coleslaw. Today the scale said +1.4... thats ok I deserved it and I am still 0.8 under LDW. I added coconut milk in today and also so unidentifable white cheese... yeah. The grocery store had fresh sirloin wrapped around spinach and cheese on sale, I think it was feta? The deli department didn't label..

I also went to Body pump today.. Love! I never thought I would be the type to do body pump but it was a great feeling to survive that workout! I about fell down the stairs when I got home because my legs were so wobbly but that still counts as survival! I want to try to go twice a week and pick pilates back up.

I was considering trying to get a second HCG round in before my vacation the last week of June but I have decided to hold out on that. The only way to squeeze in a second round would be to cut this P3 to two weeks and then I would only be 1.5 weeks into P3 when I left for vacation. I would love to loose 10 more pounds before I put that bathing suit on but since this is my first round I dont want to screw up my stabilization by cutting it short and then going on vacation where I am sure cheats will be lurking everywhere!

P3 Day 5

-2.4 today! I think this is a recovery from almonds in combination with not really eating to much yesterday..I wasnt hungry and only ate about 980 calories... I know I need to work on gettin it up. I had 3 eggwhites with spinach and chicken sausage for breakfast, a large chicken breast over salad with tomato, and ceaser dressing  for lunch. By the time dinner rolled around I had some strawberries with chocolate sauce because thats all I was in the mood for. Good News is salad dressing and Chicken and sage sausage is safe.. it is yummy so that makes me smile!

No nuts

Current single girl anthem? lol I was running errands on Friday after class and realized I had only had my apple that I inhaled on the drive to class. I needed a quick bite so I decided to try the Larabar I had bought at the health food store. I like Larabars because the only ingredients in this one was dates, almonds, and no sugar added cocoa. I was going to wait until next week to try adding almonds back but I was hungry and hadn't added a new food in that day yet. Dinner before work was shrimp scampi (left the wine out) and oven roasted asparagus. Around 5am I had more chicken tarragon salad that I topped with some sliced almonds for my "lunch" break at work. Calorie count for the day 1706.

Came home and took a nap- I never weigh before going to bed. +1.6 Ahh! So it is pretty safe to say no dates until P4 and maybe I will try almonds again later. I decided not to add any new food on Saturday in an attempt to get rid of that lovely addition the scale gave me. I should also mention TOM checked into town so that may have something to do with it. I had strawberries for breakfast, a smoothie for lunch (dynamic greens, cream, chai seeds, and flax seeds) and deviled eggs for dinner- 4 eggs and 1 hard boiled egg white. Calorie count 1733.

Woke up this morning and down -0.2! Hope this will continue, I am still 0.8 under my LDW. I am going to try adding Applegate farms chicken and sage sausage today.
